Subhramoy Mohanti

PhD Student

I am a PhD candidate in Computer Engineering at Northeastern University, on a Stipended Graduate Research Assistantship position, doing research in Smart Control Plane for Wireless Networks in IoT arena, under the guidance of Professor Kaushik Chowdhury. I did my MS (Thesis) ‘16, in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Northeastern University. I received my B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, India.

My research concentration is in the area of designing smart control plane and scheduling algorithms for distributed energy transfer in wireless systems and IoT. I am also interested in analysis and experimentation with network protocols, and wireless sensor networks.

I did a 6-month long research internship at Intel Labs, from August 2017 till Feb 2018, where I designed and simulated scheduling algorithms for the upcoming 802.11ax WiFi protocol. I also served as the Teaching Assistant at computer networks classes in Summer’15 and Fall’15, where I got the relevant teaching experience in networks and NS-3, NS-2, GENI, etc.
