Nina Shamsi is a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering at Northeastern University. Prior to starting her studies at Northeastern, Nina received an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Nina's recent work includes physiological signal acquisition and analysis, and the development of image processing algorithms at Charles River Analytics, a U.S. federal government defense contractor, and a co-op at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Nina has a B.A. in Biochemistry from Mount Holyoke College.

Nina's research interests currently are: multimodal sensor fusion, image processing, networks of unmanned autonomous systems, and simulations
